A/W 2015: Ladylike & muted

Calm and collected, the antidote to the season’s bright red and retro disco is a palette of creams and beiges, pale blues and quiet florals. Think pencil skirts and silk blouses; flowy but not fussy. For tango, it’s a great way to get more mileage out of summer shades (you don’t want heavy knits on the dancefloor anyway). However, avoid looking like you’re on holiday by bringing it bang up to date with a burgundy patent shoe.

Wearing a skirt with a high split? Keep it elegant and on trend by teaming it with a higher neckline or gauzy crewneck top.
